Most of us find our favourite garden plants by trial and error, and I’m no different. I sometimes think plants have a mind of their own. I’ve made plenty of mistakes and not every garden project has gone to plan.
I’m based near England’s south coast - in Storrington, West Sussex. I’d love to hear from other garden enthusiasts. Whether you’d like to recommend a plant or moan about bad soil, feel free to chat or commiserate!

I find gardening to be a little like cooking - a good recipe will usually work but sometimes the ingredients need to be tweaked to taste. Sometimes we’ll add too much of one thing and not enough of another. The process of finding where our tastes lie can be frustrating.
